Hello Fall lovers!
Fall is here and with it one of the most inspiring upgrades we would love to have in our wardrobe.
Any of you 30 something ladies remember the killer mommy shoes you used to try on to tromp around the house when you were kids? What about the cool textured dresses she wore when she went out?
Rejoice …they are all back. From bell bottoms to color blocks and sassy pastels, from square heels to fabulous tweed and live colors, this Fall encourages the 60’s air to rock the fashion world.
In many cases we simply found ourselves asking during one fashion season or another if we would actually dare to wear the piece de resistance of a specific trend.
With the 60’s infusion in the fall fashion of 2011 we can say for sure that wearable trends receive a whole new definition.
Bell Bottom Pants
They are actually the lovable part of the pants world for this fall. Complementing the silhouette, making you look taller and taking the attention away from your hips they can be more or less flared provided they are lively colored and put of significantly high heels.
Patterns and textures
The 60’s had a thing for geometric patterns and we all remember the sexy little dresses from the James Bond movies of that time, not to mention the pretty secretary look Manix enjoyed every episode. Combine the patterns making bold combination between different pieces of clothing and associate them with a mono block items like a coat or a pair of pants. Yes, you will stand out but you will be so glamorous.
The Miss Sixties dress
Although you might think of mini, the dress in question can be worked in several lengths. Go for midi and conic, or for short, pleated and colorful. Always keep in mind that colorful stockings are a must have with this style and so are the square high heeled shoes.
The 60’s style coat
Ample or simply simple, cut to cover you and stop above the knees, the fabulous coat can be colored in classical black bordered mélange, or carry the geometrical beauty of a color mixture. You can pair it with a fabulous turtle neck, wide hat and a pair of long boots.
Yes…the 60’s were sassy enough to imitate but they were also so lady like and everything about them lets us be the daring heartbreakers of the fall.
